PARISH MINISTRIES

1. ALTAR SERVERS: Young Children of Std IV to Std IX are trained to assist the priest at Holy Mass. Training to be altar server will be given every year during the month of June.

2. CHURCH DÉCOR TEAM: Assist in the floral décor of the Altar, and to take care of the Curtains and other articles in the Sanctuary.

3. CHOIR: 6pm Saturday & 8.30 am Sunday

4. EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION: The chosen lay people from the parish are commissioned to distribute Holy Communion to the Sick and Homebound parishioners and also at other parish Masses as and when need arises.

5. LITURGY COMMITTEE: Help to prepare the liturgy for Masses, Novenas, etc.

6. PARISH FINANCE COMMITTEE: To decide and manage the financial affairs of events organized in the church and projects undertaken and also to strengthen the financial transparency.

7. PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL: The administrative body of the church, assists the Parish priest to plan, organize & implement activities that are pastoral in nature.

8. PRAYER GROUP: Members of this group meet every Tuesday at 6.30pm to pray for various intentions-current affairs and pastoral needs, etc.

9. SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES: Aims at social and spiritual transformation in every area of the parish with a sense of belonging to the parish community and become an effective means of evangelization & proclamation of the Gospel. Activities like gospel sharing, family visits interactions with members and leaders of the area are conducted for better and more faith filled Christian living.

10. HOLY FAMILY YOUTH: For young Catholics to live a Christian life from a young age, developing trust between peers and molded to live life in a positive manner.

11. SUNDAY SCHOOL ANIMATERS/TEACHERS: Adults who teach catechism to the children of our parish on Sundays

12. NOVENA/FEAST DAY CELEBRATION COMMITTEE: Assist in planning, organizing and co coordinating the Velankkanni Feast and the Holy Family Feast. Every year
